Kassandra Carroll
Melrose Music artist, Kassandra Carroll, is one my favorites. Born in Dublin she got her introduction to Marilyn Monroe at the age of five and has been captivated by this hummingbird ever since. Though Kassandra excels at being a Marilyn Monroe tribute artist she brings a musical explosion of color to any stage that is all Kassandra Carroll. Her vocal range and style is not often found in artists today and is truly a great experience visually and for the listeners ear holes.
Carroll studied acting and performance at the College of Music in Ireland. Not shortly after she found herself in an array of stage and television roles. Though Dublin will always be her home in her heart, she felt a calling to Los Angeles and now resides in Toluca Lake. Since moving to Los Angeles she has been very active and a highly in demand tribute artist. Monroe fans converse with Carroll as if she were Monroe herself. She is constantly asked to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ a la Marilyn to which she happily obliges. Carroll also recently appeared as Monroe in the short film, "Baby Cries" which is directed by Serge Rocco.
A little known connection between the late singer Ella Fitzgerald and Monroe is just one of the surprises that audiences will be treated to during her very crafted stage production. Carroll is currently up for the role of Monroe in a feature film and musical based on the last year of the movie star’s life. Recently The Toluca Lake resident has been interview for "The Tolucan Times."
